Improving Urban Waterfronts by Enabling Small Business...

This is the basic concept of our mission. The WaterBound program is being organized by the Urban Public Waterfront Association. Small water-dependent businesses create economically viable, sustainable and attractive waterfronts for public visitors around the Puget Sound region. The purpose of this coalition is to advocate for public policy that helps achieve activation of waterfront facilities to enable small scale water-centric private enterprises. We also strive to educate the public about the value of small businesses along the waterfront. Our members are operators of small vessels and managers of facilities that serve small vessels. Membership will include charter boat operators, small-craft rentals, independent fisherman, tour companies, waterfront construction, marinas, water taxi operators, small marine transportation companies, float plane operators, boat builders, fuel docks, boat brokers, surveyors, and many more. If you are interested in helping develop this program, please contact us at UPWA.org.
